iCare® HOME2 Data Storage Option

For the safe and appropriate use of our home tonometer device, a prescription is required for rental. Kindly request your healthcare provider to email the prescription to hello@xalahealth.com. Alternatively, you can also upload the prescription to us directly.

The iCare HOME2 tonometer is an FDA-cleared home monitoring device you can use to measure your intraocular pressure (IOP) outside of your doctor's office.

Why Measure IOP Yourself?

IOP varies throughout the day, and patients with glaucoma, or at-risk for glaucoma, will be managed better with additional IOP readings, as this can change your doctor's treatment decisions.

Rent or Buy?

By renting an iCare HOME2 Tonometer from Xala Health, we will help train you to capture accurate IOP readings at home, which you can provide to your treating doctor to guide treatment decisions at your next visit.  For example, you will be able to tell if medications, laser, or surgery is working to lower the eye pressure, or if the IOP is higher outside of the doctor's office.

The typical rental period is one or two weeks, but you also may purchase the device so you can take a reading any time to know if your eye pressure is high.

The iCare HOME2 tonometer for patient use revolutionizes glaucoma care. The patient can take IOP measurements during normal daily activities throughout the day and the iCare HOME2 can even be used when the patient is lying down. Measurement results are uploaded to a cloud database from where they are easily accessible both to the doctor and the patient. The doctor is provided with accurate real world IOP data to support treatment decisions.

Choose Your Data Storage Options

NOTE:  As part of the HOME & HOME2 tonometer, iCare requires you to select one of two online platforms to view and store your data. The PATIENT2 app is used via your phone to upload to either of the online platforms, if you have no phone (you can request a phone for a small fee from us) or use a home computer-based EXPORT program. There are two options, please select one.

Option 1: iCare CLINIC is a website that your doctor and Xala Health LLC can use to manage and store your eye pressure data. You can also use this website to view and manage your data. It costs $10 per month to use this service, and you will be billed every month. If you subscribe, you can access customer service and get help from the Xala Health Team.

Option 2: iCare CLOUD is designed for patients to create a private account for storing and viewing iCare HOME measurement results. (Yearly at $49.99/yr or monthly at $4.99/mo). Once you complete the checkout process, you can go to the "Patient Resources" tab on the website, and then scroll down to find the CLOUD login page to sign up. It's important to note that you'll need to do this on your own after receiving your Device.
